FAQ

Do you develop film ?

Yes.

All still film types possible, except Kodachrome .

Will I be charged for a blank roll ?

Yes.

A roll that comes out blank was nonetheless developed so we charge for our time & chemistry. However, if the film is blank due to some fault of the lab, you will be reimbursed & receive replacement film. We understand images cannot be replaced.

You may request a snip test rather than develop a whole roll if concerned about it being blank.

How do I schedule a lesson ?

When signing up, there may be a lesson on the schedule & that is the date & time you are selecting. However, if you need another time, you have a year to arrange it with us !

Lessons are good for a year. Reach out when you are ready to schedule at info @ lighriderstudios.com . We will let you know when pre-scheduled lessons are available or work with your schedule. Group learning is more fruitful than individual so we try to get interested folx together at once ! Lessons that are missed or cancelled 3 times in a year are forfeited.

What is your return/refund policy ?

You may recoup 2/3 the costs of cancelled lessons up to a month after purchase. Monthly memberships are non-refundable; Artist Memberships require $300 deposit after which the remaining is returnable to you.

How long with you keep my film & scans ?

3 months.

Film developed at Light Rider Studios becomes the property of The Studios if not collected within 3 months after letting you know your order is ready. We keep a back-up of your scans for 3 months. Film, photos & other materials left here for scanning, restoration & documentation will be retained for 1 year after your order has been completed. Uncollected art, film & photos then become property of Light Rider Studios unless other arrangements have been made.
